Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing day-to-day accounting transactions, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations. The role requires attention to detail, integrity, and a good understanding of the jewellery industry’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and general journal entries.
Prepare financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Monitor inventory and stock valuation in coordination with the inventory team.
Handle GST, VAT, TDS, and other tax filings in compliance with local laws.
Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.
Manage payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
Ensure secure and accurate recordkeeping of all financial data.
Collaborate with sales and inventory departments for cash flow management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (experience in the retail or jewellery sector is preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of taxation, financial regulations, and compliance.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
