Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations at Saauzi. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, handling payroll, and preparing reports that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of Nepali accounting standards, experience with accounting software, and a strong commitment to ethical financial practices.

  • Maintain daily financial transactions including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT, TDS, income tax, and other government compliance requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor and client billing, and follow-ups.
  • Handle payroll processing, employee benefits, and statutory deductions (SSPF, CIT, etc.). 
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain petty cash records. 
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. 
  • Assist in internal and external audits with appropriate documentation and reporting. 
  • Coordinate with external vendors, auditors, and tax officers as needed. 
  • Maintain organized and secure documentation of all financial records. 
  • Ensure financial practices adhere to Saauzi’s internal controls and legal obligations.

Other Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (BBS, BBA, B.Com); CA preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a tech or startup environment. 
  • Strong understanding of Nepali tax laws, VAT, TDS, and compliance requirements. 
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or Xero. 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools. 
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
